Krishna Bharati, daughter of Gandhian and famous freedom fighter late Pasala Krishna Murthy, died in Hyderabad on Sunday. She was 92 years old.Krishna Bharati breathed her last at her residence in Snehapuri Colony in Hyderabad after a brief illness.
Hailing from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, she was the second daughter of freedom fighter Pasala Krishna Murthy and Anja Lakshmi.
She had deep faith in Gandhian values
Krishna Bharati was a firm believer in Gandhian values and maintained the same values throughout her life. She also worked for the upliftment of Dalits. She donated to educational institutions and Gaushalas.
Krishna Bharati was unmarried. She has four brothers and three sisters. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has condoled the death of Krishna Bharati. He recalled her contribution to the educational upliftment of the weaker sections of society.
