    Krishna Bharati, daughter of Gandhian and famous freedom fighter late Pasala Krishna Murthy, died in Hyderabad on Sunday. She was 92 years old.Krishna Bharati breathed her last at her residence in Snehapuri Colony in Hyderabad after a brief illness.

    Hailing from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, she was the second daughter of freedom fighter Pasala Krishna Murthy and Anja Lakshmi.

    She had deep faith in Gandhian values

    Krishna Bharati was a firm believer in Gandhian values ​​and maintained the same values ​​throughout her life. She also worked for the upliftment of Dalits. She donated to educational institutions and Gaushalas.

    Krishna Bharati was unmarried. She has four brothers and three sisters. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has condoled the death of Krishna Bharati. He recalled her contribution to the educational upliftment of the weaker sections of society.

    A tragic incident has come to light from Hyderabad. A 23-year-old woman jumped from a moving train when a man tried to rape her in the coach. The victim is undergoing treatment in a hospital. A police officer has given this information.

    The incident took place on the evening of March 22, when the woman was traveling alone in the lady’s coach of an MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport Service) train from Secunderabad railway station to Medchal, the official said in a statement to the police on Sunday.

    25 year old man reached the woman

    Narrating the incident to the police, the woman said that while she was travelling in the coach, two female passengers got off the train at the railway station and an unknown man of about 25 years came to her and tried to have sex with her.

    When the woman refused, the man tried to force himself on her, after which she jumped off the moving train.

    Blood from the head

    She had bleeding marks on her head, chin, right hand and waist and was later admitted to a government hospital by some passersby, a GRP police official said. The woman said she would recognise the man if she saw him again, police said.

    Police are busy investigating the matter

    Based on the woman’s complaint, a case was registered under sections 75 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 131 (use of criminal force) of the BNS.

    The woman, a private sector employee, said she had come from Medchal to Secunderabad on March 22 to get her mobile phone display repaired. Further investigation is underway.
